Too often, crash statistics have a desensitizing effect. Numbers can be informative, but they're clinical and don't convey the trauma of being in a crash, for any of the people involved. Each crash incident affects many lives from the person hit to the person behind the wheel to those surrounding the crash.
Were you ever hit by a car or nearly hit? As a driver, did you experience a dangerous situation do to pedestrian error? Perhaps you witnessed an incident that has stuck with you. Are you an officer or emergency technician who has observed patterns or noted a particularly dangerous area? Selected stories will be periodically be posted here. Identities will be protected if you prefer.
